Android software updates are a precious resource in an ever-growing market, where tons of different handset models prove to be a challenge to maintain. Thankfully, companies like Samsung and Google have mostly kept up in providing updates for their many devices.
As such, Samsung has recently launched the July 2023 software patch to several of its smartphones. According to a report from the team over at Sammobile, the update is now available for devices including the Galaxy A53, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S23.
Samsung says that the July 2023 security patch fixes over 90 security flaws found in a variety of Samsung phones and tablets. Google provided 52 of the fixes were provided by Google, while the other 38 come from Samsung. The company adds that it has included three fixes in the June 2023 patch, that Google released as a part of the July 2023 patch.
To check if your device can download the newest update, simply head into Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to check if your device is eligible for the latest system update.
In other recent Samsung news, it looks like the company is also looking into other means of adding flexible displays to Android hardware. According to a report from tech site Pigtou, the company is developing a flexible screen that can be extended by sliding, as seen on several design patents.
