Ever since its launch, the Nintendo Switch has been hounded by rumors pertaining to its eventual successor, dubbed by many as the “Switch 2.” While countless leaks and rumors have come and gone, a new supposed “leak” is currently making its rounds on the internet, catching the eye of enthusiasts and skeptics.
A product render showing a Nintendo “Switch 2” device as well as packaging claims that the device will feature a design as seen on the photo (pictured below). The image shows a more “modern” looking device with slimmer bezels around the display, and re-designed Joycons flanking the sides.
While some have praised the updated design, many were quick to call out its authenticity, citing some irregularities seen on the alleged product packaging, which includes typos as well as the questionable quality of the image renders.
Normal people: This Nintendo Switch 2 "leak" is fake because the 'of' in Tears of the Kingdom shouldn't be capitalized
My Xenoblade brain rot mind: It has the Wii background + the logo just says Xenoblade Definitive Edition without the Chronicles and its not in JP so its fake 💀 pic.twitter.com/IRsE0rP9fP

In any case, Nintendo has continued to deny any Switch 2 rumors at the moment, and has so far even ignored this latest attempt at product design. Interestingly enough, Microsoft has seemingly confirmed that the Switch 2 is real and is currently in development. Whether or not this statement is true however is still up to Nintendo to confirm, although we don’t see this happening any time soon.
