Last week, Samsung officially announced their brand new Galaxy Tab S9 tablets. These are probably some of the best Android tablets out there, with high-end hardware, massive displays for productivity, and stylus support, but they don’t come cheap with the base model priced starting at $799.
The good news is that if you think $799 is a bit out of your price range, then you might be pleased to learn that Samsung could have a cheaper version of the Galaxy Tab S9 in the works. This is according to a report from MySmartPrice where they have discovered an FCC listing for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+.
Similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S FE models, presumably this version of the Tab S9 will have slightly lower-end or older hardware in order to make it more affordable. Some have speculated that maybe it could just be a rebranded version of the Galaxy Tab S8, which is honestly still a very decent tablet.
As for price, we’re not sure how much Samsung plans to charge for the FE model, but presumably it will be more affordable so if you don’t need a tablet right this instant, you could wait around for the FE model. There’s also no word on a launch date, but seeing as it was spotted at the FCC, there’s a good chance that its launch is probably imminent.
