When you travel overseas, generally speaking it would be cheaper to purchase a local SIM instead of paying for data roaming, which generally offers less data and can be more expensive.
But if you don’t want to go through the hassle of buying a new SIM card every time and going through the process, Verizon’s latest unlimited plan could be of interest to you. The carrier has announced its new myPlan Unlimited Ultimate, which is not a cheap plan by any means, but could appeal to travelers and those who use a lot of data.
For starters, it offers unlimited 5G data connectivity throughout the US. It also offers users 60GB of hotspot data which is perfect if you work outside and the WiFi is spotty. There is also international data of up to 10GB a month, and you also get unlimited calls and texts to the US while you’re overseas, making it perfect for those who travel frequently for work outside of the US.
As for price, like we said, it isn’t a cheap plan. It costs $90 a month for a single line, or if you get four lines, you only have to pay $55 per line with autopay enabled. Verizon’s new myPlan Unlimited Ultimate will be available on the 31st of August, so head on over to Verizon’s website for the details.
