While a lot of Oppo’s current endeavors have brought a lot of attention to its premium smartphones such as the Find and Flip series, the company hasn’t forgotten its more affordable handsets, which include the Oppo A-series devices. As such, Oppo recently launched the Oppo A38, its newest addition to its affordable smartphone lineup.
Spotted on Oppo’s UAE website, the Oppo A38 features a 6.56-inch LCD display, which features a 90hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 720 nits. Available in black and gold, the phone is made from a polycarbonate build, an understandable choice given its price.
Inside, the Oppo A38 comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, which is not uncommon to see in phones of this price range. The phone packs a typical 5,000 mAh battery, with support for 33W Super VOOC charging speeds.
As for camera hardware, the device packs a 50MP f/1.8 main camera, which is paired with a secondary 2MP f/2.4 lens. The main camera setup also supports several camera modes including Night, Video, Photo, Portrait, Time-lapse, PRO, and panorama. Meanwhile, the selfie camera consists of a 5MP lens. No pricing or global availability has been announced at the moment, however.
