Google’s Chromebooks are usually positioned as budget laptops where they’re fine if you’re not looking to do anything particularly intensive, making them great laptops for students or enterprise users.
Google is attempting to change that image of its Chromebooks which is why they announced their Chromebook Plus series, a new standard of Chromebooks that will come with slightly more powerful hardware. If you’re keen on these new devices, then you might be interested to learn that Acer has announced two new models – the Chromebook Plus 515 and the Chromebook Plus 514.
Both of these models are perfect laptops for families, students, or the average user that needs to get online, go on video calls, type up documents, and so on. The main difference between the models are their display sizes and processor of choice, where the Chromebook Plus 515 will use an Intel CPU while the Chromebook Plus 514 will use an AMD CPU.
Both models will also feature MIL-STD 810H durability standards, so if you’re constantly on the go, you don’t have to worry too much about the laptops getting damaged. The Chromebook Plus 515 and 514 will be going on sale in October and will be priced starting at $399.99.
