Xiaomi recently took to stage to announce several new hardware and software products, and in addition to its flagship Xiaomi 14 series phones, the company also announced the Xiaomi Watch S3, which runs on the newly-unveiled Hyper OS platform.
In terms of hardware, the watch comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and a rather sharp 326 PPI. It also gets bright at up to 600 nits of brightness (which is brighter than some phones). The watch also features a rotatable dial that allows users to instantly change the bezel on their watch display.
Inside, the device is powered by a 486 mAh battery which Xiaomi says can go for up to seven days’ worth of use; the external design meanwhile features 5ATM water resistance for added protection against unwanted splashes and such.
In terms of software, the Xiaomi Watch S3 runs on the company’s Hyper OS platform, which xiaomi says is designed to work seamlessly with the rest of its product ecosystem. It also packs over 150 sports modes, GPS tracking, accelerometer, in addition to the usual array of health sensors for sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, and such.
The Xiaomi Watch S3 is only available in China at the moment, priced at around $140 when converted.
