A couple of weeks ago, OnePlus officially announced their next-gen flagship phone, the OnePlus 12. The handset was initially launched in China but the company did not state when the phone would be hitting global markets, but now we know.
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will be launching for the rest of the world on the 23rd of January, 2024. Pricing was not mentioned, but presumably this is because depending on where you are, the prices will be different, but hopefully we’ll have more updates on pricing for the US market at the launch event next month.
In addition to announcing the global launch of the OnePlus 12, the company has also announced the OnePlus 12R, also known as the OnePlus Ace 3. According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 12R will be the first of the OnePlus R series to be made available outside of its usual markets of India and China, so if you’re looking for a slightly more affordable alternative to the OnePlus 12, this could be it.
The OnePlus 12 is one of the first few smartphones in the world to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in tow. The handset also features a camera setup similar to the OnePlus Open, which in our opinion is a good thing. There has been a bit of controversy with the OnePlus 12 already, where customers in China have been discovering a bit of QC issues, which are hopefully being addressed in time for its global launch.
