If you still own Mobvoi’s TicWatch E3, then you might want to check your device for a new software update, which finally brings over Wear OS 3.5 to the budget-friendly smartwatch. Mobvoi says that it plans to rollout the update gradually to more and more users soon.
The new update features improvements to performance and the user interface, as well as navigation and the vibration function. However, it does remove certain apps such as Google Maps, Google Wallet (for iOS users), as well as Google Assistant, as well as Mobvoi’s Voicememo and TicHearing apps. With that being said, Wear OS 3.5 does bring some new apps for the wearable.
On one hand though, users have also reported better battery life, along with upgrades for health and fitness tracking software. Mobvoi advises that user must first download the new Mobvoi Health app for Android, or the Health CoPilot app for iOS. Users must also ensure that their device is running Android 8.0 and above, or iOS 16 and above.
The TicWatch E3 was launched back in 2021 for $199, making it one of the more affordable Wear OS devices on the market at the time.
