Pixel users, rejoice – Google has finally started rolling out the latest February 2024 software update for compatible Pixel devices, and it brings some new additions in terms of fixes and security. The update will be available for several models including the Pixel 8 series, Pixel 7 series, Pixel 6 phones, Pixel 5a, as well as the Pixel Fold.
The update addresses reported issues with performance including problems with the camera and Wifi connectivity, to name a couple. Google’s official support page lists the following:
- General improvements for system stability and performance in certain conditions
- Fix for display getting corrupted in certain conditions
- Fix for issue with outer display in certain conditions
- Fix for stability or performance with certain third party apps
- General improvements for Wi-Fi stability and performance in certain conditions
With that being said, the update will arrive for compatible devices depending on a user’s region, as well as carrier. To see if your Pixel phone can download the new update, simply head into your Settings app, and then select “System” to view the System Update menu.
