New Design Render Shows what the Nothing Phone 2a Might Look Like

While Nothing hasn’t revealed a lot of info about its upcoming Phone 2a handset, we now have a pretty good idea of what the device might look like, courtesy of some design renders online. The images reveal a familiar, albeit slightly different take on Nothing phone hardware.

The design renders come from the team over at Smartprix.com in collaboration with @OnLeaks, and show the Nothing Phone 2a’s rear panel. While it does feature the signature transparent-themed design that came with the Phone 1 and Phone 2, it’s predicted that the 2a will ditch the Glyph Interface, meaning that users won’t get to enjoy the fancy LED notification system on the midrange Nothing handset.

If true, this might be an interesting change given that initial renders show what appear to be an LED lighting setup, although there’s speculation that these might be pre-production units.

With that being said, Nothing said in a recently-published video that the Nothing Phone (2a) will focus on the “core” smartphone experience, which might explain the potential absence of the Glyph Interface. Other rumors suggest that the device will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, with a sub-400 Euro price tag.

In any case, Nothing fans will no doubt have a more affordable smartphone option once the Phone 2a makes its debut.
