A while back, Google announced that it was bringing its new “Circle to Search” feature for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, giving users a new and easy way of looking up info on Google image search. While the feature was exclusive for Google’s latest flagship phones, a new update finally brings it to the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro handsets.

The handy search tool is included in the March 2024 feature drop – this makes the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro the latest Android phones to get the new feature. With that in mind, Circle to Search is not exclusive to Pixel devices, as phones like Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series also support the feature. Google adds that Circle to Search will also be available for “other compatible non-Pixel devices” in the future.”
Circle to Search works by letting users tap and hold on their navigation bar, and draw a circle around an image anywhere on their screen to initiate the Google search function.
There’s no word however on if and when the feature will arrive for the Pixel 7a, since the device technically comes with a lot of the same hardware specs as its more expensive brethren, including the Tensor G2 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and such. Google has likewise not mentioned anything regarding Circle to Search compatibility for older devices like the Pixel 6 series phones.
