Nothing’s Giving Fans the Chance to Design their own Phone 2a

0

While a large part of Nothing’s brand identity and company DNA revolve around its uniquely-designed smartphones, Nothing isn’t really one to close off its gates to loyal fans – as such, the company recently announced the launch of its Community Edition Project, which invites community members to design, package, customise and launch a new variant of Phone 2a.

Nothing says that the Community Edition Project allows it to work with its followers and community in co-creating a specially-designed product. The initiative will run through a course of six months, and will include four different stages with the goal of designing one phone.

Nothing will collect entries for the design of what it calls the “ultimate version” of the Phone 2a, which will involve various key aspects of product design including hardware, wallpapers, packaging and marketing creatives. Winners for each stage will be able to collaborate directly with the Nothing Team as they bring their creations to fruition.

With that in mind, competitions for the Hardware design stage will run throughout March, Wallpaper design in May, Packaging design throughout June, and the Marketing campaign stage in July. Fans can head on over to nothing.tech for the full dates, terms and conditions of the project.
