Sony hasn’t launched its 2024-series Xperia phones yet, but that hasn’t stopped the internet from finding out what it can about the Japanese tech giant’s upcoming Android handsets. More recently, we’ve managed to get a good look at several photos of the Xperia 10 VI, Sony’s upcoming budget smartphone.
The photos come by way of veteran tech informant Evan Blass, who also recently shared leaked product pages for Google’s upcoming Pixel 8a. With that being said, the Xperia 10 VI bears a close resemblance to its predecessors such as the 10 V and 10 IV. This is most evident with the top and bottom bezels, a rectangular form factor, although it looks like Sony will ditch the triple-camera array in favor of a more modest dual-cam setup.
As for specs however, not much is known about the Xperia 10 VI, although Sony tends to use low-end hardware components for its Xperia 10 line, such as 60Hz displays, entry-level chipsets, and basic camera features. Of course at this point anything is possible, although this is pure speculation.
The company is set to reveal new hardware on May 15th, which will be broadcast at 16:00 Japan time / 09:00 CEST. With that being said, not much else was mentioned in the post, although it’s very likely that we’ll see the new Xperia series during the event.
