It’s all but confirmed that Samsung is working on new foldable phones that will launch in the coming months. One of those devices is the Galaxy Z Fold 6 which was recently spotted on Geekbench.
The handset in question was spotted on the benchmarking website with the model number SM-F956U. The “U” in the model number suggests that this could be the US variant of the phone. It also reveals that it will be powered by an octa-core chipset with a 1+3+2+2 configuration. It also has three performance cores clocked at 3.15GHz. This seems to confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
We have heard rumors that Samsung could go with the dual chipset strategy for its foldables. Depending on your region, you might end up with the model that is powered by the Exynos 2400. The Geekbench listing also suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could come with 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 14.
All of this shouldn’t really come as a surprise, but it’s nice to get some confirmation. Previous rumors claim that the Fold 6 might not get a camera upgrade, and that it could retain the same charging speeds as its predecessor.
