If you’re in the market for true wireless earbuds, there are so many to choose from it can feel overwhelming. But if you’re looking for a recommendation, Jabra makes some pretty awesome earbuds. In fact, following the launch of the Elite 8 Active and Elite 10 back in 2023, Jabra has announced the Gen 2 earbuds.
Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2
Starting with the Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2, these earbuds are designed for active users in mind. Jabra claims that they are fully sweat, water, and workout proof with an IP rating of IP68. The carrying/charging case itself is also rated at IP54. They feature support for improved Spatial Sound powered by Dolby Audio, and Adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation.
Jabra claims that the new noise cancellation tech they’re using is twice as strong compared to its predecessor. There’s also support for Natural HearThrough, a new feature that can detect wind in the background and block it out to allow for clearer voice calls. It comes with 8 hours of battery life on a single charge and up to 32 hours with its case.
Elite 10 Gen 2
Next up we have the Elite 10 Gen 2 earbuds from Jabra. These also feature Spatial Sound but it uses Dolby Head Tracking technology for a more immersive experience. While not necessarily designed for the gym, you can use it for active purposes as it does have an IP57 rating. This means that to a certain extent, it will be water/sweat resistant.
The Elite 10 Gen 2 comes with similar active noise canceling tech and the new Natural HearThrough feature. It also boasts six built-in microphones and can produce pretty rich bass thanks to its 10mm drivers. The earbuds have a 6 hour battery life with ANC enabled, and up to 27 hours in total with its charging case.
As for pricing, the Elite 8 Active Gen 2 is priced at $229, while the Elite 10 Gen 2 will retail for $279.
