As the war for foldable Android device domination continues, Honor recently launched its latest entry in the market, The Honor Magic V Flip. With that said, the device is currently exclusive for buyers in China, although we’re hoping that it makes its way to more regions in the coming months.
The Magic V Flip comes with a large external display that measures 4 inches with an 85% screen-to-body ratio, while the inner screen measures at 6.8 inches with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, and Honor adds that’s included a C1+ RF Enhancement Chipset for enhanced wireless connectivity options. For software, the phone runs the latest MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, with RAM and storage options starting at 12GB and 256GB, respectively.
For photography, the phone features a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide & macro camera, and a 50MP selfie camera. The main camera features a large 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX906 sensor and dual stabilization, and the phone does offer a variety of photography features to unleash your creativity, including hovering mode, DV mode, dual-screen preview, and 4K time-lapse video.
The HONOR Magic V Flip comes in three colors including Champagne Pink, Camellia White, and Iris Black. It starts at CNY 4,999 (around $689) for the 8GB+256GB variant, and there’s a slightly more expensive version priced at CNY 6,999 (around $965).
