It looks like a massive outage has affected Microsoft’s xbox Live platform for countless users worldwide, resulting in unsuccessful log-in attempts with many players downright unable to access their games on the platform. According to a post from Xbox Support’s official social media page, Microsoft is currently investigating the issue although not much is known yet.
As per the post:
We are aware that some users have been disconnected from Xbox Live. We’re investigating! Please follow here and on our status page for updates.
Around 38,000 reports about the outage were spotted via the Down Detector website, most of which were logged at around 3PM today. A few players did add that they were able to eventually sign in after much persistence, although a majority of users remain affected by the outage.
Microsoft says that the issue affected users on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles as well as mobile devices, web services, cloud gaming, backward compatibility, and Xbox on Windows. With all that being said, the company is still investigating (and is hipefully working on a fix) the outage, which is probably one of the biggest ones we’ve seen in the past few years.
