Meet the Samsung Galaxy Watch7

After much anticipation from fans and folks after a new Android wearable, Samsung finally launched the Galaxy Watch7. Intended to be a “base model” in contrast to the Galaxy Watch Ultra, the Watch7 does pack a ton of features in addition to running Wear OS.

In terms of design, the Galaxy Watch7 comes with a classic Galaxy watch design as seen on earlier models, and is available in 40mm and 44mm variants. Samsung has played it safe with the design unlike on the more expensive Ultra, and should be a nice option for people who want the more familiar Galaxy Watch look.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Watch7 packs a 3nm processor, which the company says is three times faster than previous versions and boasts 30% improved power efficiency. Location tracking is also enhanced with the new Dual-frequency GPS, which provides more precise tracking this time around.

For health monitoring, the watch packs an enhanced BioActive Sensor and allows users to track over 100 workouts and create routines with the Workout Routine feature. Sleep monitoring is also made possible with AI and De Novo FDA-approved Sleep Apnea detection, in addition to the usual array of wearable features such as heart rate monitoring, complete with irregular heart rhythm notifications and ECG readings.

The Galaxy Watch7 40mm is available in Green and Cream, while the Galaxy Watch7 44mm is available in Green and Silver – it starts at $299.99.
