For years, Samsung has been updating its Galaxy Watch series with new models. This year is no exception with the Galaxy Watch 7 series. But if you’re looking for something a little different and more premium, then the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra could be of interest to you.
As the name implies, this is Samsung’s most high-end smartwatch to date. The naming scheme also suggests that Samsung might want to challenge the Apple Watch Ultra. In some ways, there are some similarities from the design of the watch to the bands that it uses.
The watch itself is made from a Grade 4 Titanium and features 10ATM water resistance. If you want to go swimming or diving with it, you can. There’s also the addition of what Samsung is calling a “Quick Button”, which is basically a shortcut button that lets you launch apps and features with a single press.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra also comes with a host of new sports and fitness modes, such as Functional Threshold Power for cyclists, FTP metrics, and also a Personalized HR Zone.
In terms of hardware, the watch itself measures 47mm and has a brightness level of up to 3,000 nits. Samsung claims substantial battery life of up to 100 hours in Power Savings mode. If you’re interested in the Galaxy Watch Ultra, it will be going on sale on the 24th of July with pre-orders starting today. It is priced at $649.99.
