Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch Ultra at its Galaxy Unpacked event last week. This is the latest model in the Galaxy Watch lineup. It is also the largest smartwatch Samsung has released to date. It also comes with new watch faces, but the good news is that it won’t be exclusive to the Galaxy Watch Ultra for too long.
For those who don’t plan to buy the Galaxy Watch Ultra but want some of the new faces, you’re in luck. In a post on the Samsung Community website, a forum moderator confirmed that the watch faces for the smartwatch will eventually be integrated into previous models at a later date.
The moderator does not confirm when this will happen, except to say that it will happen eventually. Keep in mind that despite the watch sporting a new design and larger body, the actual display measures 1.5-inches. This is the same display size as the regular Galaxy Watch 7 model as well as older models like the Galaxy Watch 6.
It also has the same circular cutout, which means that in theory, watch faces for the Galaxy Watch Ultra should play nicely with older and non-Pro models. That being said, there are plenty of third-party alternatives if you don’t like the default ones Samsung has made. You can always check those out if you’d rather not wait.
