Huawei is no stranger when it comes to foldable phones. The company has released several models in the past, with the Huawei Pocket 2 being their latest. But it looks like the company has a new model in the works that comes in the form of the Huawei Nova Flip.
Thanks to a post on Weibo by tipster Digital Chat Station, the specs of the upcoming handset have been leaked. According to the post, the Huawei Nova Flip is expected to feature a 6.94-inch inner foldable display. This makes the handset’s foldable screen larger compared to its competition like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, the outer display is rumored to measure 2.14-inches, which is smaller than other foldables out there.
As for the chipset, the rumors are claiming that it could be a Kirin 9000 series chipset. It is unclear if Huawei will reuse the Kirin 9000S or Kirin 9010, or if it will be a brand new chipset. It is also unclear if this new chipset is built on the 5nm process or if it is the same 7nm chipset from the Huawei Mate 60 series from 2023.
Other rumored specs include a dual camera setup on the back with a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide. It will also come with a 32MP selfie cam. We can also look forward to 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The post also claims that the Huawei Nova Flip could pack a 4,400mAh battery with 66W charging.
That being said, you probably shouldn’t get too excited yet. The Huawei Pocket 2 was not released globally, which means there’s a good chance the Nova Flip could get the same treatment.
