Xiaomi recently unveiled a newer version of the POCO Pad, which now comes with 5G connectivity, a feature which was missing on the original model which was launched a while back. Interestingly though, the rest of the tablet comes with pretty much all the same specs as on the earlier version.
This includes the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset inside, as well as the overall design. The POCO Pad 5G variant also features the same 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2650×1600 resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the tablet is a 10,000 mAh battery with 33W charging, with 8MP cameras on both the front and back.
For software, the POCO Pad 5G comes with Xiaomi’s Hyper OS platform, a custom version of Android with Xiaomi-exclusive apps and features onboard the device. The POCO Pad 5G launches on August 27 in Cobalt Blue and Pistachio Green color variants, and is priced at around $280-290 when converted.
The original POCO Pad was launched back in May for around $329.
