Instagram’s New Features Add a Bit More Spice to Your Reels and Stories

The popularity of apps like Tiktok over the past few years has prompted competing social media platforms to add more features for users, which has resulted in some pretty handy ways for folks to express themselves online. With that in mind, Instagram recently announced that it was bringing over new fonts, animations and other effects via a simplified text tool, which users can add to their reels and stories on the app.

When creating a reel or story post, users will only need to open the text tool and tap on the text button to see the newly-added fonts, and can then animate their chosen text and even add an effect. Additionally, users can also add texts and layer images via stickers to photos and carousels.

To use the new text tool, users can tap on the text button after selecting a photo from their gallery. Users can layer in additional images by tapping the gallery button and can tap on stickers to change shapes.
