Huawei is no stranger to the foldables scene. The company has launched several foldable phones in the past, but now they’re poised to beat Samsung to the punch with a new phone. Huawei has recently scheduled an event for the 10th of September in which its triple-screen foldable phone could be announced.
This is according to a post on Weibo where Huawei announced the date of the event. While they did not mention what they will announce, there’s a good chance it will be the triple-screen foldable we’ve been hearing about. Huawei’s CEO was recently spotted in public with the device, and later confirmed to a customer that it could launch this month.
This means there’s a very good chance this event could see Huawei debut the device. It is also probably not a coincidence that they chose the 10th of September. Apple is hosting the iPhone 16 event on the 9th of September, so we imagine that Huawei probably wants to steal a bit of Apple’s thunder.
It will be interesting to see the Huawei triple-screen foldable, even though there’s almost no chance we’ll be able to get our hands on it in the US. That being said, companies like Xiaomi and Oppo are also rumored to be working on similar devices that could launch next year. Either way, check back with us in the coming weeks for the details!
