IFA 2024 is always a busy time of the year – for a lot of of brands and industry giants, it’s a great opportunity to showcase their new and upcoming products. One of these brands is Honor, which took to stage to unveil several new products. One of these is the Honor Watch 5, a new smartwatch with a rather sleek look and software to match.
In terms of looks, the Honor Watch 5 does look a bit familiar, especially with the square display, slightly rounded chassis and watch strap mechanism. This wraps around a 1.85-inch AMOLED display with a 450×390 pixel resolution, which should make for a generally-good viewing experience.

Of course, the biggest differences lie with the watch’s software. You won’t find Wear OS on here, and instead the watch runs on a custom operating system with exclusive apps and features from Honor. As with most other smartwatches, it keeps an eye on your metrics such as heart rate, SPO2 stats, and features pre-loaded workout modes as well.
Honor claims that the Watch can also last for up to 15 days or around two weeks, which is a much-welcome feature. At the moment, there’s no word on pricing or availability so folks interested in one might have to wait for an announcement from Honor.
