After much anticipation, Samsung finally announced the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and S10+, which continue its annual release of high-end premium tablets. While the tablets come with all the usual Samsung staples in terms of aesthetics and software, the company has decided to switch things around for this year, at least in one key area.
For context, most of Samsung’s previous flagship tablets used either its own Exynos chips or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs inside, although this year Samsung decided to use the Dimensity 9300+, a new flagship SoC from MediaTek. It’s a considerable change as MediaTek chips weren’t usually known for intensive performance, although the Dimensity series has introduced big leaps in terms of overall power for mobile devices.
With that said, the Tab S10 Ultra comes with a 14.6-inch, 2960 x 1848 AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, while the smaller Tab S10+ features a 12.4-inch, 2800 x 1752 display. For cameras, both tablets come with dual setups consisting of a 13MP main and 8MP ultrawide shooter, and 12MP front cameras (dual 12MP ultrawide for the Ultra). Another big difference is with the battery capacity – with 11,200 mAh on the Ultra and 10,090 mAh on the plus model. For software, both devices feature One UI along with Samsung’s suite of AI features.
As for pricing, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra starts at $1,199.99, with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, while the Galaxy Tab S10+ starts at $999.99, with 256GB and 512GB storage options. Both devices are available in Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver, and for folks who pre-order the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra or Galaxy Tab S10+ at Samsung.com or Best Buy will het an enhanced trade-in value up to $800 off either device.
