Spotify introduces new Offline Backup playlist feature

0

One of the perks of being a Spotify Premium subscriber is the ability to download music for offline listening. This is perfect if you don’t have an internet connection or if your connection is spotty. Now it looks like Spotify is introducing yet another feature for its Premium users called Offline Backup.

Basically what this feature does is that it automatically creates a playlist of songs that users have recently accessed. For example, if you have songs that are queued up or have been recently streamed, this playlist will consist of those tunes. It will also be accessible even when users do not have an internet connection.

This playlist will evolve over time since the songs you’ve played or queued up are constantly changing. This means that you’ll always have a playlist of Spotify songs that you can access offline that will always be fresh and interesting. Some of you might ask, why not just download your playlist for offline viewing then?

Sometimes you might forget to add a song to your existing playlist, or maybe there is a sudden network outage that causes your internet connection to drop. This playlist, as its name suggests, will act as a backup so you’ll always have some extra tunes in your pocket when the time comes.
