Meta Expands its AI Reach to More Countries

Facebook parent company Meta recently announced that Meta AI will arrive for more countries starting today – users in Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, Philippines as well as the United Kingdom will have access to Meta’s own AI assistant, with a planned rollout to more countries in the following weeks.

This also means that the company is adding support for more languages including Tagalog, with other languages such as Arabic, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese to arrive at a later date. Users can access the AI assistant via the web or though Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

In addition to this, Meta says that users in other countries including Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Yemen will soon be able to access the AI assistant as well, although it did not disclose a specific timeline.

Meta AI will also rollout for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in the UK and in Australia, albeit with limited voice support for the UK. There’s no word yet on when Meta AI will reach users in the EU, as the company continues to work around EU regulations.
