BMW recently announced that it’s entered into a partnership to bring Paramount+’s streaming platform to its cars, which will be available for subscribers who own vehicles with the BMW or MINI Operating System 9.
Paramount+ is now available in conjunction with BMW Digital Premium or the MINI Connected Package and launches in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, UK, USA, and Switzerland, and includes films and series such as Knuckles, Star Trek series like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in addition to live sports and breaking news.
The streaming service will work whenever vehicles are stationary, ensuring that drivers aren’t distracted by their favourite movies and series while on the road. Content will automatically pause streaming whenever the vehicle is on the move, so it looks like you’ll have to be at a rest stop or charging point to use the service.
Subscribers can access Paramount+ via the Video App, although it should be noted that the Paramount+ subscription is not included in BMW Digital Premium / MINI Connected Packages.
