A few months ago, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 foldable phone. For the most part it looked and felt like its predecessor, which was honestly a little disappointing. But then we heard the rumors that Samsung had a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition in the works and now we know when it will launch.
According to a post on X by tipster Ice Universe, they shared what appears to be a teaser video for the upcoming launch of the phone. It states that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition will be announced on the 21st of October, which is next week. This is pretty exciting, but we should hold our horses.
This is because if the earlier rumors were correct, the Special Edition is expected to be exclusive to just China and South Korea. This means that those of us living in other parts of the world won’t be able to get it, save for potentially more expensive gray market imports. It is a shame as the rumors are claiming it will be “better” than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6.
According to the rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition will come with better specs. It is also rumored to be thinner compared to the regular version, something that many seemed to take issue with as there are much thinner foldables out there, like the Honor Magic V3. Either way, we should have the details soon enough so check back with us on the 21st of October for the details.
