Google has officially released Android 15, which means that the onus is now on handset makers to decide when to start pushing it out for their devices. The good news is that if you’re a Motorola handset owner, it looks like the Android 15 update roll out has already begun.
This is according to user reports where some owners of Motorola’s Edge series of phones are claiming to have received the update. In particular, this seems to cover the Edge 50 series, such as the Edge 50 Fusion. We imagine that eventually the other Edge handsets should receive the update as well.
Motorola did previously promise that its Edge 50 lineup are eligible for five years of major OS updates, so this shouldn’t really come as a surprise. What’s kind of surprising is that Motorola was this quick. It was just the other day the company published a list of devices that are eligible for the update, but stopped short of providing an actual timeline.
We’re not complaining though. This is a good thing, so if you own a Motorola Edge 50 device, then be sure to keep an eye out for the update. We’re not sure if the roll out times are different from region to region, but either way it should reach its way to your handset eventually.
