The data is in, the Google Pixel 9 is officially a hit!

Every year, Google releases a new Pixel phone. The company isn’t exactly the biggest smartphone maker in the world, but they’re constantly churning out new devices. But it looks like their efforts are paying off. This is according to data from Counterpoint Research which suggests that the Google Pixel 9 is a hit.

The research company did not provide any specific numbers, but they are claiming that based on their data, the Pixel 9 led to Google seeing its “highest-ever smartphone volumes in a quarter in Q3.” To be fair, the quarter that Counterpoint is referring to does have two Pixel launches – the Pixel 8a and the Pixel 9 series.

The Pixel 8a is a more affordable alternative to the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 series, and that could have played a role in Google seeing higher than normal sales figures. Of course, the brand new Pixel 9 series had a role to play as well. It showcases Google’s latest innovation in both hardware and software.

It also saw Google introduce a brand new model to the lineup, as well as an update to Google’s foldable Pixel series. It will be a long time before Google catches up to companies like Apple and Samsung, but we think that was never their intention to begin with. Google’s Pixel phones are a great way for the company to show off the latest features of Android as well as their innovations in hardware.

But maybe with these trending figures, perhaps Google might start taking things a bit more seriously.
