There’s little doubt that Android 15 comes with some tasty new upgrades especially for Google Pixel owners. Unfortunately though, it seems that some Pixel owners have reported serious issues after installing Android 15 on their devices. In particular, a number of Pixel 6 owners have complained online that their phones have been bricked following the Android 15 upgrade.

Some have reported that their phones now refuse to turn on following the update, with troubleshooting methods unable to resolve the issue. As such, there’s some speculation that the issue might be caused by the new Private space feature that comes with Android 15. With that said, some users are unaffected by the issue.
This isn’t the first time that the Pixel 6 has seen trouble in recent times – just a few months ago, there were numerous complaints from Pixel 6 owners that their devices have been bricked following a factory reset. A year ago, the Android 14 update also caused a “critical storage” error for Pixel 6 and 6a devices.
Launched back in 2021, the Pixel 6 was the first smartphone to run on Google’s Tensor chip, which has since seen three successors. Going back to the problem at hand, there’s still no word from Google regarding the ongoing bricking problem.
