Google Pixel 9a specs leaked!

With the Google Pixel 9 announced recently, it means that come 2025, we can expect to find its less expensive and slightly less powerful sibling, the Pixel 9a. Now thanks to a report from Android Headlines, the specs of the phone might have been revealed.

For starters, it looks like there will be an upgrade in the display department. The Pixel 9a is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch display. This is a slight increase over its predecessor, the Pixel 8a, which packed a 6.1-inch display. It will also have an adaptive refresh rate of 60Hz to 120Hz.

Under the hood, the Pixel 9a is expected to be powered by the Google Tensor G4 chipset. This is the same chipset found in the Pixel 9, so in terms of performance, it should be more or less identical. This is assuming Google won’t use slower CPU cores. It is also rumored to be available in 128GB or 256GB storage and pack a 5,000mAh battery, another upgrade over the Pixel 8a.

In terms of cameras, the report suggests that we can expect to find a 48MP main shooter accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide, with a 13MP selfie cam to top things off. The report also claims that despite the larger display and battery, the Pixel 9a will apparently retain the $499 price tag, which is a good thing. We expect the phone to launch in March 2025, so there’s still some time to go.
