Combing through your emails in Gmail could soon be a lot easier

If you’ve used Gmail for the past decade or so, chances are you have probably accumulated hundreds, if not thousands, of emails. This means that if you’re trying to find a particular email, it can be quite difficult with so many emails to sort through. Luckily, an upcoming change to the mobile version of Gmail could make finding emails a lot easier.

This is according to an APK teardown by Android Authority with AssembleDebug where they found new filters in the mobile version of the app. It seems that in a future update to the app, users searching for emails will have two new filters to choose from. This includes “Most relevant” and “Most recent”.

This should help users sort through their search results and find what they are looking for. Right now, when users search for emails, the results may vary. It might display the most relevant results, or it might display emails based on the most recent ones that were sent to you.

At least with these new filters, users will be able to choose whether they want their search results to be sorted by relevance or the most recent. It’s not exactly a groundbreaking update, but if you’re someone that needs to dig through their archives every now and then, it could be useful.
