A cheaper Galaxy Z Flip could launch next year

0

Between Samsung’s two foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip series is the cheaper alternative. But don’t mistake being relatively cheaper as actually being affordable. It is priced around the same price as a flagship. However, come 2025, that could change as the rumors are suggesting a cheaper version of the Galaxy Z Flip could launch.

According to Korean blogger yeux1122, Samsung is apparently planning a Galaxy Z Flip FE model that could launch in 2025. For those unfamiliar, the FE designation is used for cheaper alternatives of the company’s flagship handsets, like the Galaxy S FE models. We can’t say we’re completely surprised, though.

This is because a Samsung executive had previously hinted that they are working on ways of lowering the barrier of entry so that more consumers can buy their foldable phones. It was not mentioned which model could get the cheaper version, but now this rumor suggests that it could be the Galaxy Z Flip series.

Samsung’s foldables are pretty expensive to begin with and creating a cheaper model could be a good way to get more customers. Other companies like Motorola have had no issues creating cheaper versions of their foldables, so why not Samsung too, right? Either way, take it with a grain of salt for now.
