According to the rumors, Samsung is apparently working on a more affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. Dubbed the Galaxy Z Flip FE, we expect that the handset could launch as soon as 2025, and now new rumors have revealed the handset’s potential chipset of choice.
This is according to a post on X by user Jukanlosreve who claims that the Galaxy Z Flip FE could be powered by the Exynos 2400. For those unfamiliar, the Exynos 2400 is the same chipset used to power the Galaxy S24 series in some regions around the world. This is actually kind of surprising.
This is because despite how many people feel about the Exynos 2400, it is still one of Samsung’s flagship chipsets of 2024 and is one of the most powerful chipsets the company has produced so far. For the company to consider using it for the Galaxy Z Flip FE is surprising, since usually the FE models come with a slightly less powerful chipset to save costs.
Of course, the Galaxy Z Flip FE won’t be on par with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 which is due in 2025, but if you’re looking for a foldable phone that is affordable but still powerful, then maybe this could be a phone to look out for.
