LG E970 for AT&T clears the FCC

6

The LG E970, otherwise known as the LG Eclipse for AT&T, recently made a visit to the FCC. The device has been dubbed a “superphone” after previous leaks revealed a quad-core Krait CPU and 4.67-inch 720p HD display. The filing reveals the band 4 and 17 LTE support as well as approval for bands 2 and 5, though AT&T currently doesn’t operate on the latter pair. Also covered was the Eclipse’s NFC chip and HSPA+/UMTS/EDGE connectivity. Rumors place the phone as launching towards the end of October.

  1. That`s only leaks as Quad-core, but, that`s mean AT&T will leave it as Quad-core ?

    1. Yeah they probably would since (and i’m only assuming here) the pro version of the snapdragon would support LTE natively just as it’s dual core cousin does.

      1. I know Sprint going to get it too.

  2. Why don’t they just name this the Nitro II

  3. I thought LG Eclipse was a Sprint LTE phone?

  4. Seems like AT&T version of Optimus G.
