Over the past two days, we’ve been receiving reports that users have been getting a new OTA update on their Nexus 7 2013 WiFi edition tablet. Being a Google Nexus device means you’re privy to a number of perks such as factory restoration images and binaries for compiling your own ROM. While most of us won’t need to download binaries for our Nexus 7, it is a good idea to have a local backup copy of your Nexus factory images if you’re into flashing custom ROMs, just in case something goes wrong. In standard Nexus device fashion, Google just posted the latest factory images and binaries for the Nexus 7 2013 WiFi, bringing it up to Android 4.3 build JSS15R.

Or just have WugFresh’s toolkit.
His toolkit will now need to be updated for the latest factory images, will it not? I haven’t used it in a very long time.
I think it generally pulls whatever you tell it too, but yeah you’re right. I love that toolkit though, it has saved me a few times.
So I got this 8MB update two days ago, but what does it do/fix? No change log in sight… Anybody know?
The previous push to fix the touch screen issues caused my N7’s screen to flicker out at times. Hopefully this fixes that problem. Otherwise I haven’t noticed anything different.
It encrypts the bootloader.
Got mine OTA today. Up-to-date! <3 Nexus
JBQ!!! Yahoo!
Still haven’t received the update. I know it’s a minor update, but I just unrooted and flashed the stock image jss15q a few days ago. I just want to make sure I haven’t screwed things up so that I can’t receive OTA updates.
Wrong thread.
