By Sprint’s HTC One Max is already available, but Verizon customers were wondering when they’d be able to get their own oversized version of the HTC One (with an added fingerprint scanner and microSD card slot). This 5.9-inch beast is now available on Big Red’s nationwide LTE network for $299.99 following a new two-year contract. You can also get it through Verizon Edge for $25.22 per month, or outright for $599.99.
The HTC One Max’s 5.9-inch display is outfitted with 1080p resolution. Much of the other internals remain the same with its 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 3,300 mAh battery, Android 4.3 (with HTC Sense 5.5) and more. The aforementioned fingerprint scanner will allow you to unlock your phone using a quick swipe of your finger, and will also allow you to launch up to three different apps based on which finger you use.
The HTC One Max launched to little fanfare due to the Note 3’s beefier internals, with many folks believing HTC should have taken this opportunity to pull out all the stops. Is the One Max still a decent buy despite being a notch below the Note 3 in the tale of the tape? That remains to be seen, but you can expect our forthcoming review to address that very question. If you’re already decided, you can go ahead and purchase one from Verizon right now.
The only way this would have out sold the Note 3 is if HTC released this as a beast with the new 805 3GB of RAM and KitKat out of the box.
And also giving out that capacitive pen for free.
Not a capcitive pen, its an Active digitizer wacom pen, capacitive pens are those things with the big rubber tip.
I am not talking about the Note 3 digitizer. I am talking about the hTC ONE MAX accessories. It is indeed a rubber tip capacitive pen. Some ppl have said good thing about it in Asia.
Probably not. This thing is bigger than the Note 3. Most people buying the Note 3 don’t know how much RAM it has or the speed of the processor.
I don’t care as much for the specs as i do for the S-pen, im sure the HTC One Max is pretty fast as well. The other thing that makes the Note 3 more appealing to me at least, is the extra features they threw in to take advantage of the bigger screen. All HTC did was make a bigger screen device, they added no extra software like split screen or being able to drag content from window to the other. I also really like the one handed use features on the Note 3. While the Max is just a bigger HTC one + fingerprint

I think every verizon smartphone has to include WCDMA/GSM 3G/2G now. If it does, you can certainly use it with AT&T. You should double check with the spec listed in Verizon.
Just checked the spec for you, it will indeed work as they included the following:
Global Network: EDGE/GPRS/GSM (850/900/1800/1900), HSPA/UMTS(850/900/1900/2100MHz)

While the Max loses out in usability, it does still beat the galaxy note 3 when it comes to build quality. The use of metal makes the Max feel a lot more solid than the Note 3. During our tests we found the One Max was far more resistant to scratches and accidental drops than the galaxy note 3…
