Motorola Migrate update now lets you import contacts from dumbphones

Motorola Migrate

We’re not sure how many people will be upgrading from a dumbphone to one of Motorola’s latest smartphones (including the Moto G and Moto X 2014), but if you are then we have some good news for you: Motorola Migrate now supports your phone! The latest update to Motorola’s app will let you transfer contacts from most dumbphones out there, though it doesn’t look like multimedia and other types of content are supported.

It was always simple enough to transfer contacts from feature phones on your own, but it’s always nice to have a built-in option that doesn’t take more than a few quick clicks. The upgrade is sitting in the Google Play Store right now for anyone Moto X 2013, Moto G 2013, Moto E 2013 and owners of last year’s DROID smartphones, and we’re sure it’ll be preloaded on the new Moto G and Moto X handsets whenever those are made available. Be sure to grab the download from Google Play below.
