Look what just came rolling through the pipeline: Dell could be bringing us even more tablets in 7-inch and 10-inch flavors! The Streak line looks to extend far past what they’re doing with the Dell Mini 5 (now known as the Dell Streak 5) and I am not one to argue. According to Engadget’s sources, we can expect to see at least two of these devices in 2010.
The controversial – at least by Android users’ standards – Dell Aero is said to be released this June with its big brother Streak 5 making its appearance later in the Summer (both getting their respective debuts with AT&T). The 7 and 10-inch variants will be seen late 2010 and early 2011, respectively. Wanting to get more information on these devices, Engadget pinged the folks at Dell and received the usual dispel:
“Dell continually develops and tests new products that extend the mobile experience. We have not made any product announcements and do not comment on speculation, rumor or unannounced products.”
Of course, we don’t buy it, but we’ll play Dell’s game, for now. When they are ready to give up the goods, we’ll be right here to share the details.
It will be good if they do make some bigger tablets.
So are you going on record confirming that the Dell Streak is going to AT&T? This hasn’t been confirmed yet. If so, please state your source.
@Dave source is Engadget (link in Article)
if they wait too long the iphone hd will crush them
The iPhone died along with iPad, they both suck.
That said the Aero was going to AT&T and that the rest was presumably going with AT&T. Thats not a confirmation. I do admit perhaps I’m reading it the way I want to because I wouldn’t use AT&T if it was free.
I’m keeping fingers crossed that it’s heading to T-mobile. If its not at least that it’s easily unlockable for us.
@The Black Guy: Yeah, right. You can absolutely roll up the whole iPhone/iPad thing into three words – “they both suck”. Not at all based on prejudice, no, no, not at all. A very well considered critique based on extensive knowledge of your subject, no doubt…
Can I get the Streak in brown?
@The Chris: I’d laugh if they did, but I hope that Dell does not release a brown Streak of any sort.
Does anyone know if I will be able to use it with just WiFi.
I don’t want to (can’t) pay monthly charges!
