The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is in the works by Samsung — that news isn’t surprising by now — but we could have our first idea of what the phone will look like once it heads to store shelves. OnLeaks has leaked a render of the device found on his “leaky Foxxconn servers.”
It’s a CAD drawing, and its general shape tells us to expect a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6. That phone featured curved glass panes on the front and rear, as well as a metal frame sandwiched between. It was the biggest step in design for the Galaxy S6 line yet, and the Note sure could do with much of the same.
The dimensions for the CAD drawing come in at 153.447 mm x 77.317 mm for width and height (which seems to be enough body to house a 5.7-inch display), while its depth is billed at 10.201mm, which includes the protruding camera element on the rear and the home button / fingerprint scanner on the front.
Of course, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have its own unique design quirks such as a holding bay for the S-Pen. The renders give us a good idea, but we’ll have to see a final shot of the design in all its real materialized glory to see if the Samsung Galaxy S6’s design is a good match for the bigger form factor of the Galaxy Note line.
