Early look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 5’s S-Pen reveals possible clickable top

This isn’t the meatiest Samsung Galaxy Note 5 leak we’re ever going to see, but it’s interesting nonetheless. A new shot of the device’s S-Pen has leaked, giving us an early look at one of the components which make this device unique from all the other phablets out there.

So what do we have here? It’s an S-Pen, complete with a button, shiny chrome-colored material and a pressure sensitive point. Neato! The leaked images also suggest the pen might have some sort of clickable top, which could be used to retract the pen’s point or enable some kind of unique software functionality. It might also be a mechanism that makes it easier to eject the S-Pen from its holding bay.

Unfortunately that’s all we can gleam from this particular leak, though there were plenty of previous Galaxy Note 5 rumors to give us a better idea of what to expect once the device is unveiled (which some say will happen in August). It should look somewhat similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6, for starters, though that could also come with the drawbacks of not having a removable battery or microSD slot. We’re also expecting a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 display, 4GB of RAM and Samsung’s Octa-Core Exynos 7422 chipset.
