We’ve had the initial word, and initial evidence. Now, there’s even more confirmation Verizon’s forthcoming Motorola DROID MAXX 2 is essentially a redressed Moto X Play. Android Police uncovered the goods this time, giving us a good look at the device’s familiar exterior ahead of its officially arrival.
There’s not much to say about the phone in question, save for confirmation that this will come with Verizon’s typical hodgepodge of DROID-specific features. Those features include DROID Zap, something you can use to quickly beam photos to someone nearby.
The phone should also share the same specs, including a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615, a 21 megapixel camera and 3,630mAh battery.
Rumor has the the DROID MAXX 2 will come in around the same affordable starting price point of $300, so if the price tag has always been a barrier of entry to you getting a DROID phone, this is what you’ve been asking for. For those looking for a bit more juice? The DROID Turbo 2 is also in the works, we hear, and it should be a doozie.
