T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge receive March security update, Verizon’s rolls out tomorrow

0

Earlier today, both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on T-Mobile began receiving a small update (build number UVS2APB8) with Android’s March security patches. For the regular S7, it’s the first update the device has seen since it became available (the S7 Edge actually had a day-1 “critical” update, but didn’t bring March’s security fixes).

Not one to be left out, Verizon is ready to roll out a similar security update for the S7 and S7 Edge on their network, arriving as build number VRS2APB4. The rollout should begin tomorrow, so don’t freak out if you don’t see it right away. There’s nothing too exciting here, but if you don’t feel like waiting, you can always manually check for the update by jumping into your Settings > About device > Download updates manually.
