The Google Play Store is a digital wild wild west of apps and games where panning for gold yields a lot of nice nuggets but not without sorting through a bunch of rubbish. Recent improvements to the Play Store’s design have made finding the best apps and best games much easier, but Google has taken things a step further with an Indie Games Festival that will award the best indie game devs with awesome prizes.
The pool of potential winners have been whittled down to 30 contestants and 11 of those games are playable right now on the Google Play Store. Considering they’ve made it into the upper echelon of Google’s favor, we think they’re probably well worth playing.
Here are the 11 Indie Android Games that you can download right now from the Google Play Store Indie Games Festival:
- A Matter of Murder
- Endless Mine
- Hovercraft: Takedown
- Numeris
- Orbit: Playing with Gravity
- Parallyzed
- Riptide GP: Renegade
- Roofbot
- Smashwars VR: Drone Racing
- ThreeSwipes
- Rainmaker: Ultimate Trading
