HTC continues to see a decline in revenue ahead of the U 11’s launch

We’re seeing many companies release their Q1 2017 financial results, and HTC is the latest to give some insight into its performance. Although the full Q1 results haven’t been shared yet, HTC did share the company’s revenue for the month of April.

Unfortunately, April was another disappointing month, as HTC saw an almost 10% decrease in revenue in the month. According to the report from DigiTimes, HTC’s total revenue has dropped more the 6% in the first 4 months of 2017, when compared to the same time period last year.

Things could be looking up for the Taiwanese company as we are nearing the launch of the HTC U 11, HTC’s 2017 flagship. Based on the rumors and render leaks, the U 11 could help pull HTC closer to the big horses, but that may be a tough task to handle. It will be difficult for HTC to capture any substantive piece of the market considering that Samsung and LG have already launched their 2017 flagships.

The HTC U 11 is expected to be announced on May 16th, so we’ll see how HTC looks to impact the market.
