Rock-type Pokemon will be more common in Pokemon GO for a week

Niantic has announced a new event for Pokemon GO called Adventure Week. From May 18th through the 25th, folks will see more common occurrences of rock-type Pokemon sprawling about.

This list includes Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Onix, Sudowoodo, and more. Beyond the increased frequency in those encounters, your buddy Pokemon can walk shorter distances to pick up rare candies, and you’ll also get an Adventurer’s Hat for participating in the event at any point.

Finally, PokeStops will give out more free items than usual, so be sure to stock up as often as you can. Will you use this event as an excuse to get back into Pokemon GO?
